McCollum, Nelwyn B. 


Nelwyn McCollum, 93, of Kilgore, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2006. 
Nelwyn was born August 12, 1913, in Mount Enterprise, to Daniel and 
Bertha Bartlett. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kilgore, 
and a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees. She 
was a resident of Kilgore Manor Nursing Home for the past several years. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl McCollum. Nelwyn 
is survived by a niece, Nelwyn Ann Allen of Kilgore; stepson, Ernest 
McCollum of Twin Falls, Idaho; five great-nieces; and three great-nephews. 
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006, at Lakeview 
Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Hampton officiating. Interment will 
follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make 
memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth
