Mashburn, Geraldine Breland    

Funeral services for Geraldine Breland Mashburn, 93, of Longview, are scheduled for 
1 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006, in the Welch Funeral Home Garden Court, with the 
Rev. Billy M. McGee officiating. Mrs. Mashburn passed away Wednesday, February 15, 
2006, at a local medical center. Mrs. Mashburn was born October 5, 1912, in 
Murfreesboro, Arkansas, to V.B. and Minnie Lee Stranburg Morris. She was a Baptist 
and a member of the Woodmen Of The World. She was preceded in death by her husbands, 
Henry Breland and Johnny Mashburn. Mrs. Mashburn raised not only her children, but 
her husband, Henry's, too. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Eva Lee 
and Andrew Moore of Glenwood Acres, Gerry and Bob George of Longview; step-daughter, 
Lorene Kern of Jefferson; step-sons, L.B. Breland of Pritchett, Arla Breland of 
Longview, and Kenneth Breland of Longview; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 
nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren. Memorials may be made 
to Greater Hospice of Texas, P.O. Box 9725, Longview, TX 75608. The family will receive 
friends 6 p.m. this evening, February 16, 2006, at the funeral home. An online registry
