Martin, Wanda 


Graveside services for Wanda Martin, 75, of White Oak, will be 2 p.m. 
Monday, September 18, 2006, at Concord Cemetery with the Rev. Wade Duck 
officiating. Services will be under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. 
Mrs. Martin went to be with the Lord and her husband, Jim Martin Jr., 
Friday, September 15, 2006. Wanda was born September 1, 1930, at home in 
Vernon, Texas. She married Jim Martin Jr. April 20, 1949, at Martin's 
Chapel. They were married until 1991, when Jim suddenly passed away. Wanda 
soon after was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. She was cared for at 
home by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Donny, and grandchildren, 
Brittany and Bryan Gryder. Other survivors include two sons, David and 
Jimmy Martin; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Ernest 
Dillard and Howard Dillard; and sister, Eva Kitchens. A special thanks to 
Dr. William Perkins, M.D. The family will receive friends at Welch Funeral
