Krohn, Dorothy Elizabeth    

A memorial service for Dorothy Elizabeth Krohn, 89, of Longview, 
will be held 3 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006, at Hope Fellowship 
at 300 Hollybrook. Cremation arrangements are under the direction 
of Welch Funeral Home. Mrs. Krohn died Wednesday, September 6, 2006, 
at her residence. Mrs. Krohn was born August 11, 1917, in Wake, 
Virginia, to Martin John and Marie Kernbach Ahl. She was a resident 
of Longview since 1980, a member of Hope Fellowship, and had served 
with Missionary Tech Team, Child Evangelism Fellowship, and Nursing 
Home Ministries. She had a heart for her Lord and for missions. She 
was married to August Krohn on June 11, 1954, and he preceded her in 
death on April 26, 1997. Survivors include her daughters and 
sons-in-law, Joyce Krohn, Barbara and Larry Anderson, all of Longview, 
and Paula and Kenichi Akagi of Loveland, Colorado; one sister, Louise 
Ahl of New York; and grandchildren, Ginger Hoovler, Jonathan Anderson, 
Kai and Mika Akagi. A memorial fund has been established at Hope
