Jones, Lillie M. Guthrie   	

Lillie M. Guthrie Jones, 100, died Sunday, September 2, 2007, at a medical center in Longview.

She was born November 22, 1906, in Beggs, Oklahoma, to Woodson and Mary Bell.

Lillie was a nurse by profession and retired from Good Shepherd Medical Center, following many 
years of faithful service. She was a longtime member of the Greggton First Baptist Church in 
Longview.

According to Lillie's family, she was "a devoted  mother and grandmother who was always there 
for them when they needed her."

Her parents; and one brother, Gordon Bell, preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Buddy Lee Guthrie and wife, Linda; grandchildren, 
Richard Lee Guthrie and Joyce M. Thorshien; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Guthrie Snelson and 
DeeDee Worley; step-grandchildren, Kenneth, James and Stephen Selman; and brother, Roy Bell.

Lillie will also be missed by other special friends and her church family.

Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, immediately following the 
visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greggton First Baptist Church or Good 
Shepherd Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, prior to services, at Lakeview Funeral 
Home.
