Jones, Joyce Hollers Joyce Hollers Jones, 80, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2007. Services will be held 2 p.m. today, January 5, 2007, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Schulik officiating. Graveside memorial services and burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. Ms. Jones was born August 10, 1926, in Austin, Texas. She worked with Western Union during World War II. She later moved to Tyler and then to Longview in the 1950s. She was president of the Longview Ostomy Association, and was named Person of the Year by the Longview Pilot Club in 1977. She was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution, and was a longtime member of Mobberly Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School class. She also worked with the Hallsville High School Library, and was a legal secretary to the late J.W. Falvey Jr. and with Grady Crawford Construction. She was an avid genealogist and served as secretary-treasurer of the Hollers Family Association, and wrote the family newsletter. She also researched and compiled genealogy on her mother's Duke lineage. Ms. Jones was preceded in death by three husbands, Coston Cargile, Rufus Gilley, and Earl Jones; father, William A. Hollers; mother, Stella Duke Hollers; and brothers, James L. Hollers and Albert Cardwell. She is survived by one brother, William Hollers Jr. of Richardson, Texas; a son, John Wayne Cargile and wife, Paula of Coker, Alabama; daughter, Glynda Cooper and husband, Keith of Hallsville; grandchildren, Nick Cooper of The Woodlands, Phillip Cooper of Hallsville, Jonathan Cargile of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Shellye Hamner of Northport, Alabama, and Shannon Carroll of Moody, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Cherish Hamner, Gracee Hamner, and Chamberlain Hamner of Northport, Alabama, Jon Cade Carroll of Moody, Alabama, and Marleigh Ana-Katherine Cargile of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sister-in-law, Bobbie Hollers of Lufkin; and several nieces and nephews.
