Jones, Helen Redd

Graveside services for Helen Redd Jones, 77, of Bastrop, Texas, will be at 
1 p.m. today, April 21, 2007, at Lakeview Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at a hospital in Austin.

She was born February 13, 1930, in Kilgore, Texas, to Clint Ansel and Verna 
E. Hicks Redd. A former resident of Longview and Lake Cherokee, Mrs. Jones 
was a registered nurse, having worked for more than 30 years in the field 
of emergency room care, a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist 
Church.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, John Victor Jones Sr., in 
1999.

She is survived by her son, John V. Jones Jr. of Austin; sisters and brothers-
in-law, Cathrynn and Dick Edmonson of Bastrop, Texas, and Pansy and Gayle 
Thompson of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister, Patsy Redd of Midlothian, Virginia; and 
a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. today, prior to 
services, at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd.
