Johns Sr., Leroy

KILGORE -- Graveside services for Leroy "Teyne" Johns Sr., 
77, of Kilgore, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007, 
at Danville Cemetery, with the Reverend Dr. William J. 
Ingersoll officiating. Mr. Johns died Monday, February 26, 
2007, in Kilgore, Texas. He was born March 11, 1929 in Italy, 
Texas. Teyne attended Kilgore public schools. He was a 
carpenter/contractor in the Kilgore area and worked for 
Martin Gas for a number of years. He was preceded in death by 
two sisters, Pauline Childers and Imogene Hill; and a brother, 
E.E."Bug" John Jr. Mr. Johns is survived by his wife, Emma 
Nell Johns of Kilgore; children, Leroy and Debbie Johns of 
Gladewater, Ralph and Terri Johns of Avinger, Texas, Josie 
and Gary Atchley of Kilgore, and Danny and Marion Downing of 
Kilgore; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Jenny 
Johns of Liberty City and Jamie and Frances Johns of Kilgore; 
one sister and brother-in-law, Emma Sue and Joe Hendrix of 
Kilgore; 12 grandchildren, Amy Ellis of Hallsville, Angie 
Shelton of Gladewater, Michael Johns of Gladewater, Jason 
Johns of Avinger, Travis Johns of Avinger, Chad Atchley of 
Tyler, Christa Mixon of Kilgore, Casey Jo Atchley of Kilgore, 
Wes Downing of Kilgore, Aaron Downing of Dover AFB, Bryan 
Downing of Kilgore and Katie Chamberlain of Longview; 17 
great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The 
family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. this evening, 
February 28, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home. Please leave
