Huckabee, Ed

Graveside services for Ed Huckabee, 79, of Longview, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 
27, 2007, at Rock Springs Cemetery, with the Reverend Tom Roberson officiating. Interment 
will follow.

Mr. Huckabee was born February 6, 1928, in Shreveport, La, to Dutch and Jesse Huckabee. Ed 
had been a resident of Longview since 1950. He was a steelworker for Green Steel Co. and 
member of the Oakland Heights Baptist Church. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Kent Huckabee.

Surviving Mr. Huckabee are his loving wife, Helen Ruth Huckabee of Longview; daughters, 
Brenda Cotton and husband, Jeff of Shreveport, La., and Debbie Green and husband, Gary of 
Longview; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Huckabee of Gilmer; seven grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Doris Miller of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Glenn 
Huckabee of Hull,; and several nieces and nephews.

Whipporwill, Kilgore, TX 75662.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. this evening, September 26, 2007, at the 
funeral home.
