Griffin, Vannette    

Services for Vannette Griffin, 62, of Longview, will be 3 p.m. today, February 24, 
2006, at Welch Funeral Home Garden Court, 4619 Judson Road, with the Rev. Wes Hill 
officiating. Ms. Griffin died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at a local hospital. Ms. 
Griffin was born July 23, 1943, in Longview, to Van B. and Trudie Belle Lantron 
Griffin, and had been a longtime resident of Longview. She was owner of Oilfield 
Drillers Supply. Ms. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents. Ms. Griffin is 
survived by two brothers, John O. Griffin of Longview, and Doyle R. Griffin of San 
Antonio; five nieces; one nephew; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. An
