Gattis, Ruby Mae  
 	
Ruby Mae Gattis, 94, of Lake Cherokee, died Friday, November 
24, 2006, at a Longview hospital. She was born June 22, 1912, 
in Paris, Arkansas, to Doy and Bertie Redding. Ruby was a 
beloved mother and grandmother. She was also a true homemaker 
who loved cooking and gardening. Those left to cherish her 
memory are her son, Deen Gattis and wife, Princess, of 
Mountainburg, Arkansas; daughter, Doris Nelson and husband, 
Gary, of Lake Cherokee; grandson, Dr. Jason Deen Nelson and 
wife, Dr. Lillian A. Nelson, of Shreveport, Louisiana; sisters, 
Judy H. Lamp and husband, Carl, of Bentonville, Arkansas, Wanda 
Papapgne and husband, Frank, of Fresno, California, and Dennie 
Davis of Booneville, Arkansas. Ruby will also be missed by 
numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death 
by her husband, Howard H. Gattis, and nine brothers and sisters. 
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30-6 at 
Lakeview Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 6 p.m., at 
the mausoleum, following the visitation at the funeral home. For
