Garcia, Louise Jones 


Services for Louise Jones Garcia, 65, of Longview, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, 
May 13, 2006, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road. The committal will 
be held in the Welch Garden Court. Ms. Garcia passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2006, 
at a local nursing facility. Ms. Garcia was born April 2, 1941, in Longview, to 
William Alfred and Carrie Odie Smith Jones. She was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist 
Church. Ms. Garcia was preceded in death by her three sons, Glen, David, and an infant 
son; and one grandchild, Jennifer Nutt. Survivors include three daughters and 
sons-in-law, Carrie and John Nutt of Longview, Wanda and Tony Hanners of O'Fallon, 
Missouri, and Angela and Jon Evans of Lindale; four sisters, Lena Reynolds of Dallas, 
Ollie Lane and Hulene Smith of Longview, and Merlene Heim of Kilgore; two brothers, 
Warren Jones and Aubrey Jones of Longview; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces 
and nephews. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. Friday evening, May 12, 2006, at 
the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of
