Foster, John

KILGORE -- Services for John Foster, 86, of Kilgore, will 
be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2007, at Rader Funeral 
Home Chapel of Kilgore, with the Rev. Brian Nutt and the 
Rev. David Reeder officiating. Entombment will follow in 
Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Foster died January 4, 
2007, at his residence. Born February 12, 1920, in 
Sedalila, Ind., he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served 
during Pearl Harbor, police officer, and member of First 
Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Melba 
Gibson Foster; children, John Foster Jr., E. Odette 
Thornton, and D. .Lynn Foster; sister Verna Bell McCandless; 
and brother, Melvin Foster. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m.
