Eaton, Kathy Johnson    

KILGORE --Services for Mrs. Kathy Eaton, 47, of Liberty City, will be 2 o'clock in 
the afternoon, Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at First Baptist Church Liberty City 
with the Rev. Bruce Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial 
Gardens. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, Tuesday, 
February 21, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. She was born August 12, 1958, in Los Angeles, 
California, daughter of Gary and Elaine Johnson. Kathy was a member of the First 
Baptist Church Liberty City, where she was a member of the Adult No. 2 Sunday 
school class and sang in the choir. Kathy was put on this earth for one mission, 
which was to glorify God. She loved the ones around her completely with dedication 
and devotion, and she did it until God called her home. Kathy never tired of 
ministering to her family and anyone who needed her, no matter what adversity she 
faced. She stated many times during her fight with breast cancer that, "if anyone 
comes to know Christ because of this cancer, it will be worth it all." If your last 
name was Eaton, Johnson, or Bustin, she was there 100% with a smile exemplifying 
the grace and love of her Savior and Lord. If there was someone participating in 
anything, she was there, from soccer to band, track, football, piano lessons, 
quilting or relay for life. She was everyone's best friend. Kathy "finished the 
course; she fought the good fight; she kept the faith, and she finished the race." 
On the morning of February 19, she entered eternally into her Lord's presence and 
was told "well done, my good and faithful servant." Kathy is survived by her 
husband, Scott of Liberty City; mother and stepfather, Elaine and Garry Eubanks 
of Rockwall; five children, Charlotte Barkhimer of Kilgore, David Eaton of Killeen, 
Jared Eaton of Longview, and Morgan and Wesley Eaton, both of Liberty City; sister, 
Sherry Bustin of Kilgore; brother, Michael Johnson of Kilgore; and 16 nieces and 
nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Johnson, and brother, Keith 
Johnson. The family has requested donations be made to the Congregational Care 
Ministry of First Baptist Church Liberty City or ETMC Cancer Institute "Great
