Dorsey, Inez

Funeral services for Inez Dorsey, 83, of Longview, will 
be held at noon today, February 7, 2007, at the chapel 
of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Dr. Jim Lewis 
and the Reverend David Farmer officiating. Burial will 
follow in Gum Springs Cemetery, under the direction of 
Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road. Mrs. 
Dorsey was born March 3, 1923, in Longview, to G.T. 
"Tom" and Nina Cobb Kuykendall. She passed away on Monday, 
February 5, 2007, at her residence. She was retired from 
Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and a lifelong member of 
the First Christian Church, where she was active in the 
Cornerstone Class. After retirement, Roy and Inez, along 
with their best friends, Roy and Vida, traveled 
extensively, exploring all 50 states and Canada. A loving 
wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in 
death by her parents; and sister, Lois Mann. She is 
survived by her husband, with whom she would have 
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 6, 
2007, Roy Dorsey of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, 
Deborah and Denny Jernigan of Carthage; grandchildren, 
Denise Jernigan of Dallas, and Amy Jernigan of Richardson; 
brother and sister-in-law, Tommie and Lois Kuykendall of 
Longview; sister-in-law, Wilma Stracener of Longview; 
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Betty Dorsey of 
Wichita Falls; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The 
family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial 
contributions be made in honor of Mrs. Dorsey to First 
Christian Church, 720 N. Sixth St., Longview, TX 75601; 
First United Methodist Church of Carthage, 201 S. Shelby, 
Carthage, TX 75633; or a charity of choice. A memorial
