Dews, Clara Belle Vernon   	

SCHERTZ - Clara Belle Vernon Dews was called to heaven on Sunday, August 26, 2007.

She was preceded to her rest by her loving husband, Hampton "Bubba" Dews, in 2005. They were 
married for 60 years.

Clara Belle "Claire" was a native of Gladewater, and was the daughter of Crawford and Maurine 
Vernon.

She is survived by one brother, George Vernon of Universal City; one son, Hampton Dews II of 
Medina; two daughters, Marcie Mitchell of Columbus, Ga., and Amy Feemster of Houston,; as 
well as first cousin, George Vernon of Gladewater; five grandsons; one granddaughter; three 
great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. George United Methodist Church that 
she and Hampton helped found in St. George Island, Fla.
