Camp, Guy KILGORE -- Services for Guy Camp, 49, of Liberty City, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel of Kilgore, with the Reverend Stephen Butts and the Reverend Charlotte Austin officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mr. Camp died Monday afternoon, March 27, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born January 24, 1957, in Austin, Texas. Mr. Camp attended school in Kilgore and Houston before graduating high school in Brownfield. He earned his bachelor of business administration degree in petroleum land management from the University of Texas at Austin. Guy owned and operated a herbicide business that primarily contracted with the oil industry. Guy was a well-rounded, diversified person who later in life obtained his teaching certificate from LeTourrneau University. He had just authored his first book, "Project E.A.R.T.H." His book should be published and available in bookstores in about eight weeks. Mr. Camp was a member of St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church in Longview. He was currently running for U.S. Congress as an Independent. Guy was well liked; he brought joy to everyone and will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Camp is survived by his wife, Tena Camp of Liberty City; two children, J.R. Camp of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Jill and her husband, Jake Clodfelter of Lubbock, Texas; two step-children, Derek and Matthew May of New Boston; parents, Bo and Carmen Camp of Liberty City; sister, Gay Smith of Liberty City; nephews, Kip and Kyle Smith of Liberty City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hugh and Leta Camp, and G.U. and Anna Bell Yoachum.
