Bell, Rubie Lee

Funeral services for Rubie Lee Bell, 88, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, 
October 2, 2007, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, with Dr. Tim Watson 
officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the 
direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Bell passed away Saturday, 
September 29, 2007, in Longview.

Mrs. Bell was born December 22, 1918, in Palestine, Texas, to Ira and Gracie 
Ethel McBee Jones. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of First Baptist 
Church of Longview. She was also a charter member of the Longview Regional 
Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 515 
in Tyler, Texas.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Maria G. Jones of Mena, Arkansas; 
stepdaughter and husband, Karen Linn and John Thomas of Longview, Texas; two 
stepgranddaughters, April and Kimi Thomas of Longview, Texas; and a host of 
friends.

The family is grateful for the tender care given to Rubie by caregivers, Bettye 
Thomas and Juanita Allen

She was preceded in death by husband, Theo "Cotton" Bell; sister, Reba Smith; 
and brother, J. Ray Jones.

Memorial contribution may be made to First Baptist Church or to the Hiway 80 
Rescue Mission.
