Armstrong, Jerry Lee Memorial services for Jerry Lee Armstrong, 74, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, at Church of Power in Gilmer, Texas, with Bro. Mark Huffhines officiating. Mr. Armstrong passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at a local medical center. His body was donated to science. Mr. Armstrong was born February 1, 1933, in Dallas. He was a retired truck driver and attended Church of Power in Gilmer. He served in the United States Army in the Korean conflict. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roy Sitton; and father, William V. Thompson. Survivors include his mother, Oleta Faye Thompson; wife, Sue Armstrong; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Mandy Armstrong; stepson, Glen Singleton; stepdaughter, Carrie Page; stepson, David Singleton; brother, Bill Thompson; sister, Linda Sitton; brother, Scott Thompson; brother, Paul Thompson; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the home following the memorial service. The family would like to thank Heritage of Longview and Good Shepherd Medical Center for the care extended to Mr. Armstrong by their staff.
