Anderson, Richard E. 


Memorial services for Richard E. Anderson, 61, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, 
May 2, 2006, at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road. Mr. Anderson died Saturday, 
April 29, 2006, in Longview. Mr. Anderson was born June 2, 1944, in Little Rock, 
Arkansas. He was born to Earl and Margaret Gray Anderson and a very special loving 
step-mother, Emma Anderson. He had been a resident of Longview for seven years, 
coming from Shreveport, La., and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Anderson was president 
of the Louisiana Nursing Home Association, and had ties to many local nursing homes. 
He was also originator of the Senior Olympics. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, 
Pamela of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Yan Anderson of Los Angeles, 
Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Dr. Perry Little of Houston; step-daughter, 
Shawna Giddings of Chicago, Ill.; step-son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janine 
Giddings of Texarkana, Texas; and brother, Raymond Anderson. An online registry may
