Kay Cunningham,
the granddaughter of Nancy Elizabeth Connor, b. Feb 3, 1914. This newspaper
clipping was dated 1943. 15 Years Ago In Longview For the celebration of her birthday anniversary, Miss Elizabeth Connor
was honored by her mother, Mrs. A. L. Connor, by inviting six of her
young friends to celebrate the occasion with a dinner party Thursday
evening. The home was lovely with pink carnations and gift flowers
to the honoree. The dining table was exquisite in a lovely setting
of flowers carrying out the Valentine theme. The birthday cake
was embossed in Valentine colors and designs. Placed on the table
were cut glass candle sticks holding pink candles. Valentine cards
marked places for the following girls: Celia Swiley, Katherine Scott,
Minnie Lee Skipper, Ava Cain Hamilton, Mary Elizabeth Patterson and
the honoree. |
