This picture was taken somewhere in Ellis County or in the Lancaster area. The older man in the front row with the long white beard who is standing under the sign is John Davis. He moved to Ellis Co. area after 1890 from Union Co. GA. His sons, Charles Washington, John Wilson & James (Jim) M. Davis, lived in or around Waxahachie.
