Charles Edward Gilmore
born January 17, 1893, Ellis County

Charles (Brenda's grandfather) was the son of William
Joseph Gilmore, Jr. & Ellen Idumia Freeman and Grandson
of William Joseph Gilmore & Margaret Elizabeth Rodgers.
All of these people are from Ellis County.

 

Margaret Elizabeth Rodgers Gilmore

She was married to William Joseph Gilmore and they raised 7
children in Ellis County through the Civil War and the typhoid
fever epidemic.  Brenda's family has a book of Margaret's
letters depicting life in Ellis County during that time period.
