John Paul Davis
&
Levisa Ann Cavender

Contributed by Patti Twiggs

John Paul Davis married Levisa Ann Cavender. They lived in
Benton, Tenn. during the Civil War. When the war was over
he put Levisa and the children on a horse, he then took an ax
and chopped his way and took them to Gaddistown, Ga.

John and his wife Levisa had a large family, They had nine
children; Jim, Mandy, Mary (I was named after her), Joe, Clim,
George, John, Charlie and Fannie.

When the children were grown they moved to Wheatland Texas.
The Davis's are buried in Lancaster, Texas.
INFORMATION FROM Pearl Deaver

The pictures are copies that my mother had made. Below the picture is brief information (transcribed above) that she obtained from her Aunt Pearl Agnes Deaver (d/o Harvey Wilson Deaver & Frances Odell Davis, gd/o Rubin Keith Deaver & Susan Catherine Deaver.)

I also have a picture of Fanny Davis (Frances Odell). As far as I know she never migrated to TX with the Davis family, but remained in Blairsville all of her life. It also has Harvey Wilson Deaver, & their grand daughter Billie Susan Deaver. Contact me if interested.
