Texas Confederate Pension Records list:
HEAD, Mary 32862 Eastland Co. Husband - Ezna Eli
War Department attachment to Widow Application dated May 17, 1916 states: Respectfully returned to the Commissioner of Pensions, State of Texas, Austin. The records show that E.E. HEAD, private, Co. K, 12th Texas Cavalry, C.S.A., enlisted March 18, 1862, and on the last muster roll of the company on file, that dated Dec. 31,1863, he was reported absent, wounded in battle May 18, 1864, at Yellow Bayou. No further record of him has been found.
Affidavit of Witnesses attached to Widow Application shows fellow soldiers A.J. BURLESON & W.R. HAMMOND statements as follows: Ezra HEAD, and both of us, all belonged to the same company, Capt J.P. BROWN'S Company K, 12th Texas Cavalry, Col Wm. H. PARSON'S regiment Parsons brigade, Confederate States Army. We saw him personally every day, and know he did his duties as a private soldier in said company, and that he remained with the company as a member, until the war closed in May, 1865.
