Janie Mary Goehring
Janie Mary Goehring, 87, of Westhoff passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018. She was born August 19, 1930 in Westhoff to the late Frank and Rosie Henke Ebrom. Janie married the love of her life, Stacy Goehring, on April 29, 1950 in Cuero. She was a housewife, caregiver, waitress, dessert maker, and a loving sister and aunt. Janie was also a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Westhoff.Janie is survived by her sisters, Irene of Cuero, Valeria of Yorktown, Dorothy of Cuero, and Helen of Eagle Lake; brothers, Paul of McAllen and Ben and Edmond, both of Cuero; and many nieces and nephews which she loved like her own children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; sisters, Cecilia and Elnora; and brothers, Jacob and Walter.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 5:30 pm at Freund Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018, 10 am, at St. John Lutheran Church in Westhoff with Pastor William Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Westhoff Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Larry Mueller, Paul Ebrom Jr., Michael Ebrom, Jimmy Holtz Jr., Eddie Ray Ebrom, Allen Goehring, Wesley Goehring, and Darvin Mueller. Honorary pallbearers include Raymond Goehring, Donna Brandstetter, David Nitsche, and Gene Schultz.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Westhoff or St. Michael's Catholic Church of Cuero.
