BEN FRANKLIN — A post office in Delta county, 345 miles northeast of
Austin, 10 northwest of Cooper, the county seat, and 14 southeast of Honey
Grove, the nearest railroad station and banking point. It contains a flour,
saw, shingle and corn mills, a Methodist church and district school. Cotton
is shipped. Population, 200. Mail, tri-weekly. J. M. Vansant, postmaster.
