The corrections and additions to the Shiloh cemetary are as follows:
On your cemetary web page you list a head stone for C.T. Griffin. Unless the markings on this headstone are very clear I believe that it should read G.T. Griffith. Members of my family visited the cemetary in the late 1960's or early 1970's and noted that a marker that read G. T. Griffith born 1874 died 1894 was placed there. Unless there is another stone that has become illegible with time I believe that the stone that you reference is that of my great uncle George Thomas Griffith. He was born 11 January 1874 in Hokes Bluff, Etowah county, Alabama. He died in 1894 after being gored by a bull and was buried at Shiloh Cemetary. Buried at the head of this marked grave in a straight line with it is the unmarked grave of his sister-in-law and my great grandmother Ann Cornell Griffith. She was born in Tennessee around 1870. She died in childbirth in March of 1899 and was buried at the head of George T. Griffith's marked grave along with her baby Annie Cornell Griffith which died shortly after her mother. Since it has been so many years since a family member has visited Shiloh cemetary I can not be 100% certain that C.T. Griffin is really G.T. Griffith. I am quite certain though that such a headstone existed at one time. You are in a better postion to know the condition of the headstone and will know what best to do as regards this. If it is determined that the headstone is without a doubt C.T. Griffin, than I can only surmise that time has erased the evidence of my great uncles grave. In which case, please feel free to add the names of my great uncle and great grandmother and her baby to the Shiloh cemetary list as being buried in "unmarked" graves. It was a matter of great sorrow to my grandmother that her mother was buried in an unmarked grave. For many years the family has wanted to mark her grave and that of her baby's, but have as of yet been unable to do so. Their addition to your cemetary list will at least insure that they are not forgotten. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
