Funeral services for Burt Aaron, 74, of Cooper will
be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Cross Country Cowboy Church with
the Revs. Jimmy Prater, Sonny Pennington and Byron Houck officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper with Larry Aaron, Ernest Aaron, Jeffery Aaron, Neil Aaron, Bruce Aaron and Eric Aaron serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Aaron died Sunday morning, March 23, at his residence. |

Burt Aaron was born in Denton County on July 22, 1933,
the son of J.P. and Eva Dudley Aaron. He married Doris Alva Eves, the daughter of William Robert Eves and Finnie Pruitt Eves in Forney, Kaufman, Texas on September 19, 1953. She survives. Mr. Aaron was a rancher. He was a member of the Pentecostal faith. Other survivors include five sons, Larry Steven Aaron of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Ernest Dean Aaron of Reilly Springs, Texas; David Jeffrey Aaron of Cooper, Texas; Thomas Neil Aaron of Longview and Raymond Bruce Aaron of New Orleans, Louisiana; four daughters, Susie Aaron Purcell of Joshua, Texas; Teresa Ann Aaron Hanson (spouse Leon L. Hanson) of Cooper, Texas; Laura Christine Aaron Morehead (spouse, Dalton R. Morehead, Jr.) Morehead of San Marcos, Texas and Ruth Darlene Aaron Hammons (spouse of Gary E. Hammons) of Sulphur Springs; three brothers, Joe Aaron of Ennis, Texas; James Horace Aaron of Frisco, Texas and David Aaron of Red Oak; seven sisters, Fannie Mae Aaron Gidney(spouse, Sam Rayburn Gidney) of McKinney, Texas; Tommie Frances Aaron Gidney (spouse, Claude Leslie Gidney) of Farmersville, Texas; Beatrice Aaron Isaacs (spouse of Virgie Mack Isaacs) of Muenster, Texas; Emmajean Aaron Hawkins (spouse of Stanley Joe Hawkins) of Conroe, Texas; Linda Sue Aaron Taylor of Roxton, Texas; Mildred Ann Aaron Smith (spouse of David Glinn Smith) of Emory, Texas and Kathy Aaron McDonald of Graham, Texas; 75 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Dolores Aaron Cole (29 Dec 1954-24 Feb 1998); one sister, Nettie Florene Aaron Watkins (spouse of James Winford Watkins) (30 Sep 1935-18 Dec 2005); two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. |
