Employees of the State Highway Department occupy the next 22 places of residence.   Although some employees may have remained in Crane, most were temporary residents.   All of their rent is unknown, so they may have lived in tents.  Maybe Gulf or McElroy ranch provided their dwelling.  Anyway it is interesting that two families and three others are identified as Negro and three families and one single man is identified as Mexican.  The number of the residence, the head of household, age, martial status, and the number in the household is listed here.

Oilfield employees start again with dwelling 263.  Ink smear makes some names questionable.
