I am searching for information on my grandfather Henry May PUTMAN b. 8/15/1887, TX. His parents are listed on the 1880 census in Comanche Co. They are Richard Jacob Putman, 30 GA and Nancy HAMILTON HALL, 30 AR. Children are: Rebecca 8 AR, Alice 7 AR, Margaret 5 AR, Josheph 3 AR, and a niece, Gilda 7 TX. Henry shows up on the 1910 Census in Carter Co. OK as Henry M. 21 TX. Would appreciate any information at all. Thank you, Jan.

I am researching the MORRIS family. George W. Morris and Julia A. Wilson born @ 1830 were married 4-6-1843 in San Augustine County. In 1910 Julia lived in Brown County with her daughter, Irene Electra Landrum born 4-22-1871. Also living with them was her son Randrum born @ 1878. Julia died in 1912 in Comanche County and is buried in the Oakwood Cementery. There are several other Morris's buried there also but I don't know if there is a connection. Barbara Gotcher

I am searching for information on the TUBB family, who lived in Comanche Co. in the early 1900's. I know that there is a ROY MCKINNEY TUBB (born in Comanche Co. in 1901 and died in 1936) buried in Sardis Cemetery northeast of Comanche. He was the son of CHARLES MARVIN TUBB, born March 24, 1882 in Louisiana. Charles was married to a woman named Lizzie (probably Elizabeth). They had two other children: ETHEL M. (born in Comanche Co. in 1904) and CHARLIE H. (born in Comanche Co. in 1908). Charles died before 1910 and Lizzie was married to a JAMES MCENTYRE. They were still living there in the 1920 census. After that, I don't know what became of the family, except for finding out Roy's burial place there. Does anyone know of this particular family? Is there anyone still living there that knew them? I am searching for information regarding the THURMAN family, who lived in Comanche Co. in the early 1900's. All the information I know is derived from the 1900 census of Comanche Co. At that time, THOMAS E. THURMAN (born app. 1853 in TX) lived there with his wife MELISSA (PIERSON) THURMAN (born app. 1857 in TX) and their 9 children: NANCY ANN (born 1884); THOMAS E. (born 1886); GEORGE E. (born 1887); JOSEPH A. (born 1889); MARTHA M. (born 1890); AMOS? O. (born 1892); JOHN O. (born 1895); IDA P. (born 1896); and VIRGIL F. (born 1899). Matilda Boone MILLION married in Comanche co TX in 1875 to Charles B. MASON, a dry goods merchant there. They had 8 children. Would like information on those children and their descendents. Virginia Caltha MILLION, Matilda's sister, married in Comanche co TX on 5 Jan 1882 to William O. HAMILTON. They resided in Comanche co where they had 7 children. Would like data on those children and their descendents. Also, Luther D. Million of Missouri came to Comanche co TX around 1904, and married there on 9 May 1904 to Mrs M.F. Dillon. He died 2 Mar 1930 in Comanche co. Where is he buried? Is there a marker for him?

My grandfather, CLARENCE NELSON CAMPBELL was born in Comanche Texas in 1900, his mothers name was Mamie (Tunnel) Campbell, and his father and I do not have his name yet, was the head of the school board for Comanche county. My grandfathers parents had 5 kids, 3-girls and 2 boys. The boys died in 1903 and 1906, the girls now deceased were: Lilas (Campbell) Johnson of Crowell Texas, Christine (Campbell) Lowery of Fort-Worth Tx., and Francis (Campbell)-----? dont know the married name of Tyler Tx. Lilas (Campbell) Johnson of Crowel Tx. had a family history done of the Campbells. Lilas (Campbell) Johnson had the daughter named Francis Henry who is now deceased however Francis Henry-------? and I don't know her married name had a boy and a girl and one died of cancer and the other may be with us still but I don't know names. We dont know her married name however she had kids and one of them may be in pocession of the Campbell family history. My grandfather was born there in Comanche in 1892,July 1. He died in Fort Worth, Tx in1980. He was 92 yrs old Papa had one son and six daughters. There not one member of the family who knows much about the Fraziers. One aunt said, papa had four brothers and they were born in Comanche County.Most of the family member are deceased. Soundex card shows he was list on 0626. I failed in my attempt to locate Martin Paul Frazier. Would apprecaite any help.

BUCKMASTER and Mary S. ESTEP BUCKMASTER. John BUCKMASTER was a United Brothern minister. John J. MURPHY married Emma (possiby TAYLOR) about l879 and Sarah J. married William R. NEAL about 1875. Except for Rev. John J. BUCKMASTER, the family moved to Oregon in about 1881.
