"The grand opening of the Kemper Kar Wash, owned by Martin Kemper, was held in July 1975. This had been Scott’s Car Wash, located at 108 West Walnut Street, just west of Rudolph’s. Kemper did considerable remodeling, adding a waxing and drying canopy." (Looking Backwards, 1940-1980 by Ralph Terry, 2016.) ................................................. A new Champion Car Wash was installed at this address about 2015.
