"In 1929, Simms Oil Company was located at 516 Vale Street. M. L. Walker (resident telephone number 507-R) was the agent, dealing in wholesale gasoline, oil and lubricants. The office and warehouse were located at this address, telephone number 809." (Coleman City Directory, 1929 - Hudspeth.) (Note: The alphabetical listing in the 1929 Coleman City Directory gave the address of Simms Oil Company as 511 Vale, which is incorrect.)
