CCMC Auxiliary Tour of Homes

"The home of Mary Jane Giles at 701 West Pecan will be one of the homes included on Coleman County Medical Center Auxiliary's Tour of Homes scheduled for Sunday, December 3.  The home at 701 West Pecan which Mary Jane Giles recently purchased was moved in from the country in approximately 1890 by Mr. D. A. Paddleford for his daughter, Della.  The original house was later added onto by one of the later owners.  It has 10 1/2 foot ceilings and the original hinges on the front door.

"The house was beautifully remodeled by Mary Kay Livingston Elliot after her father, Caskey, died and she and her husband moved in with her mother, Ruth Livingston.  The house is decorated with antiques from Mary Jane's grandmother's house and purchases she has made." (The Coleman Chronicle and Democrat - Voice, November 28, 2000, page 1.)
