Sometime before 1888, a small one story dwelling was built at what
was then know as 209 East Pecan Street. This dwelling had additions
added between 1893 and 1898. It remained until about 1920, when it
was removed, and a new house was added.
In 1888, there was a two story building, probably a barn, with one story
rooms on the east and west sides. It was addressed as 209 1/2
East Pecan Street. It had been removed by 1893.

Between 1916 and 1923, the original dwelling, located at what was
to become 207 East Pecan Street, was removed and a stucco (or tile) dwelling
was built on the same lot.
The original storage building (or automobile garage) on the north side
of the lot remained, but a second story was added to it between 1923 and
1930 to create a two story garage apartment.
Note on the 1916 map the address is shown as 205 East Pecan Street with
an alternate address of 209 East Pecan Street.

"In 1929, Robert S. Johnson,
and his wife Carrie O., were residing at 207 East Pecan Street. Also
living at this address was Miss Virginia MacDougal, a stenographer at Baker
and Baker." (An alternate address for 207
East Pecan Street was 209 East Pecan Street) (Coleman
City Directory, 1929 - Hudspeth.) (Note:
The Coleman City Directory shows, "Residing at 200 East Pecan Street was
Robert Johnson, a contractor, with his office at 300
West Live Oak Street." I felt certain this is a typographical
error as Robert S. Johnson who was living at 207 East Pecan Street, was
a well known building contractor, with his office at 300
West Live Oak Street.)
