In 1923, there was no dwelling at what was to become 108 South Nueces
Street. Sometime before 1929, a duplex house was built on this vacant
lot, with the south half being addressed as 108 South Nueces Street.
The north half was addressed as 106 South
Nueces Street.
"In 1929, Charles E. Miller, and his wife Ofa, were residing at 108 South Nueces Street. He was a carpenter." (Coleman City Directory, 1929 - Hudspeth.)
Sometime after 1948, the duplex was torn down at 106 South Nueces and 108 South Nueces Street, and a brick home was built in its place, with its address as 106 South Nueces Street. After this time, the address of 108 South Nueces Street ceased to exist. |
