North Street was the street north of the courthouse square with an extention to the west of the courthouse. This street is now part of Cottonwood Street to the north of the courthouse, and the extention to the west has been closed, with buildings now located there. On the following 1923 map it is arbitrarily named North Street, but the 1929 Hudspeth Coleman City Directory shows the changes noted above.
