Coleman, Texas Legal Description: Stobaugh
Addition to Coleman, Part of Lots 1 and 2 |
By 1946, the buildings from the
Coleman Primary Flight School were being moved or
sold.
Buildings from Camp Bowie, a military training center during World War II, at Brownwood, were also being sold and moved. In 1948, Roy Autry, Sr. and his wife, Cecil H., bought one of these buildings and had it moved to what became 1500 South Llano Street. They converted it into their home. The advertisement for A. M. "Andy" Teague from the Coleman newspaper shows this building being installed at that time.. As this was the only building on this vacant block until after 1948, the entire Block 24 is shown.
