Commemoration of Old Cattle Trail Friday, May 15

To commemorate the old Western Cattle Trail of the seventies and eighties - known as the West Chisholm Trail - a bronze and stone marker will be placed on the courthouse lawn in Coleman by the Wm. Buckner Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.  The ceremonies will be held this Friday, May 15, beginning at 3 p.m.  All trail drivers, persons who took part in the cattle movements of the seventies and eighties, also all members of the Coleman County Pioneer's Association, are invited to be present during the services in commemoration of the historic event.  The program promises much of interest to all the western pioneers who attend.
