This house was located at 517 Fifth Avenue, where Earl Dill Brown (1900-1969) and Lillie Bell (Hagler) Brown (1901-1988) lived.  The building in the background, to the left of the picture, is the garage.  It was separate from the house.  As one faced the front door while standing on the sidewalk, the garage was on the left-hand side of the lot and in the back.  The car entered the drive from 5th Avenue.  The structure was wood and had room for 1 car.  There was storage above the hood of the car and on the sides.  The Browns lived here from 1951 until they moved about 1964.  The house and garage were painted white.
