"On August 30, 1898, C. E. Spath granted to J. O. Spath the north half of Block 4 of Clow's 1st Addition to the town of Coleman."   (Warranty Deed, Book 36, page 449, Coleman, Texas Records.)

"In 1938, Anna R. Spath granted the lot or parcel of land situated in the town of Coleman, Texas, being out of Block 4 of Clow's 1st Addition to the town of Coleman (later known as 313 West Elm Street), described as follows: Beginning at a point in the North Line of said Block 4, in the South line of West Elm Street, 115 feet west of the NE corner of said Block 4, a stake, for the NE corner of this tract, Thence with the South line of said Street, the North line of said Block, West 60 feet, stake for corner, Thence South 125 feet, stake for the SW corner of this tract, Thence East 60 feet, stake for the SE corner of this tract, Thence North 125 feet to the place of beginning."  (Warranty Deed, Book 218, page 393, Coleman, Texas Records.)

"On February 21, 1942, Anna R. Spath, a widow, and Odeline Spath, a single woman, granted the above described lot to Annette Spath, a single woman."   (Warranty Deed, Book 238, page 407, Coleman, Texas Records.)

"On March 2, 1942, Annette Spath, a feme sole, contracted with T. E. Brice, representing Rockwell Brothers Lumber Company, to build a 4 room and bath frame house, 1/2" liner board, shingle roof, 60 foot front concrete walk and approach walk to house - no garage, on Block 4 of Clow's 1st Addition to the town of Coleman (known as 313 West Elm Street)."  (Mechanic's Lien Note, Volume 7, page 546, Coleman County, Texas.)


"On June 1, 1942, a survey was made of a part of Block 4 of Clow's 1st Addition to the town of Coleman (known as 313 West Elm Street) for Annette Spath."  (Wm. O. Leach, Licensed State Land Surveyor.)


"In 1962, Anna R. Spath, widow of Joseph O. Spath, was residing at 313 West Elm Street.  Also living at this address were (Miss) Annette, a teacher at South Ward School; and (Miss) Odeline Spath.  (They were daughters of Anna R. Spath.)   Their telephone number was 625-5103."  (Polk's Coleman City Directory, 1962.)
