EAST EIGHTH STREET East Eighth Street is the 14th street south of Live Oak Street. It begins at Commercial Avenue and extends to Guadalupe Street. In 1929, East Eighth Street extended to Vardeman, but the name of that part of East Eighth Street was later changed to Culbertson Street, from Guadalupe Street to Vardeman. Apparently no houses were located on what is now East Eighth Street in 1929, but at that time there were several located on what is now Culbertson Street, which was part of East Eighth Street in 1929.
