One of Coleman's long time businesses will soon be closing its doors after serving Coleman and Coleman County folks for 68 years.  Brooks Laundry, located on Concho Street since they opened for business in January of 1938, will close its doors on Wednesday, September 27th.  Wincel and Jean have lived next door to the laundromat since they opened for business and have operated the business by themselves.  Mr. Brooks maintained the washer and dryers  keeping them in working condition by doing all the necessary repairs on his own.

The Brooks have made many friends through the years, some of whom have passed on, and some who still come to do their laundry once a week, every week, for years. We will miss the old fashioned Laundromat and the Brooks.  They have been very dedicated to their customers.  Now that their home has sold, they will be moving to Iowa Park where they will be living near their two sons and their families.  The Brooks invite you to stop by and visit with them before they close.  We wish them happiness in their retirement.
