South Commercial Avenue. It is accessed by a staircase opening
from the street on the south side of 114 South Commercial Avenue.
"In 1929, Colvin and Colvin, Osteopaths, was located at 114 1/2 South Commercial Avenue. Bob C. Colvin, and his wife Leila, were both osteopaths. Also located at this address was the office of Harvey L. Livingston, an attorney." (Coleman City Directory, 1929 - Hudspeth.)
"In 1962, Moore's Studios (photographer) was located at 114 1/2 South Commercial Avenue. It was owned by Charles B. Moore. (Polk's - Coleman City Directory, 1962.) (NOTE: The door opening onto the street between 114 South Commercial Avenue and 116 South Commercial Avenue, opened to a stairway that accessed the businesses located above both 114 South Commercial Avenue and 116 South Commercial Avenue. Moores Studio was located above 116 South Commercial Avenue, but was walled off in later years, with no entrance to this building in 2003.)
Soon after 1962, Charles B. Moore had moved his photography studio to his home at 308 East Third Street, but ceased photography work soon after. He died in 1969 and is buried at the Coleman Cemetery. |
