"In 1906, L. E. Collins built a magnificent home, considered at the time to be one of the most beautiful homes in western Texas and a show place of Coleman.  It was later bought by the hospital and used as a nurse's home, until it was torn down in the 1960's to make way for the new part of the OVerall - Morris Memorial Hospital."   (A History of Coleman County and Its People, "L. D. Collins," by Ralph Terry, 1985.)
