The Water Valley School was located south of Valera, across Home Creek.
Sometime between 1905 and 1909 this school was defined and given the school
district number of 53. It is possible that this school was taken
from an earlier school district known as the Lefevre
School District #30, as they covered part of the same land. In
1919, part of Water Valley consolidated with Valera
and part with Voss.
