The Seventh Day Adventist School was started in Santa Anna in 1965 to
serve children in the local Adventist congregation and any one else in
the community. In 1977, David Morris taught thirteen children in
seven grades (there were no third graders). The school is taught
in a multi-grade classroom concept; older children help younger ones and
learn much themselves in the process; younger children listening to the
instructions given to students in the higher grades, often pick up information
that helps them when they reach the higher grade. The Santa Anna
Church school is actually part of the school system operated by the Seventh
Day Adventist Church. Small schools like the one in Santa Anna do
not suffer for lack of funds to obtain the best services, because all Adventist
schools operate as a single school system, the benefits that are received
by the larger schools are enjoyed by the smaller schools as well.
The Santa Anna Adventist Elementary School is located south of Santa Anna
on the Trickham road.
