Earl Kent Goss, 80

Earl Kent Goss, age 80 of Coleman, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at Coleman County Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Mr. Goss was born March 18, 1923 in Grosvenor, Texas, a son of Leonard L. Goss and Minnie Pearl Byrd Goss.  He was raised in Grosvenor and graduated from Grosvenor High School.  He served eight years in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War.  He was in the Battle of the Bulge and D-Day and received the Korean Service Medal with five Bronze Stars and the U.N. Service Medal.  He married Ozell Edington in 1955 in Brownwood.  She preceded him in death on September 10, 2000.  They moved to Coleman in 1986, after living in Dallas for 35 years.  He was a sprinkler fitter and a Protestant.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Goss and his wife Joyce and Kenny Goss, both of Dallas and one granddaughter, Greer Goss of Dallas.

Family visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers and in the memory of Ozell Goss, the family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Coleman County State Bank, Attn: Dorothy McDonald, P. O. Box 940, Coleman, Texas 76834.

William Page 'Bill' St. Clair, 47

William Page “Bill” St. Clair, age 47, of Coleman died Thursday, November 27, 2003 at his residence.  Graveside services were held at 2 p. m. Monday at Johnson Station Cemetery in Arlington, Texas, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman.

Bill was born January 7, 1956 in Tarrant County, a son of the late Robert Page St. Clair and Mae Evelyn Shelton St. Clair.  He was reared in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School.  He moved to Coleman in 1993 from Abilene and Eastland, where he was a machinist.

Survivors include his daughter, Karolyn St. Clair of Arlington; two granddaughters, DeSiree and Kaitlyn Jackson, both of Arlington; his mother, Evelyn St. Clair of Arlington; eight brothers and sisters, Robert St. Clair and wife Kim of Abilene, Teresa Horton of Coleman, Patricia St. Clair of Fort Worth, Christopher St. Clair and wife Sandy of Arlington, Joseph St. Clair and wife Frances of Arlington, Evelyn Blanton of Alvarado, Mary Ryan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ann Johnson of Coleman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carla Perrie Parks, 49

Carla Perrie Parks, age 49, of Coleman, died Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Coleman County Medical Center.  Graveside funeral service was held at 1:00 p. m. Monday at Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Reverend Don Northway officiating.  Services were under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Carla was born October 4, 1954 in Santa Anna, Texas and was the daughter of Louie and Barbara Bennett Perrie.  She grew up in Coleman where she attended school.  In November 1977 she married Larry Parks in Coleman and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2000.  She was a waitress and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Galen Perrie of Coleman and Aaron and wife Lori Parks of Coleman; one daughter, Amber Parks of Coleman; two grandchildren, Katlin Parks and Avery Hale; two sisters, Donna Perrie and Karen Densman, both of Coleman; two brothers, Alan and wife D’Ann Perrie of Winters and Bruce Perrie of Coleman; numerous nieces and nephews; and one great-niece.

Pallbearers were Brian Erwin, Charlie Croft, Shannon Ridner, Charlie Watts, Jason Keeney and Preston Watts.
