On Saturday night, December 24, the death angel visited in our city and claimed the spirit Mrs. Clyde McLeod.  Mrs. McLeod was born July 18, 1893, joined the Baptist Church at Shield, in this county, at the age of 15, was married July 17, 1910, died December 24th, 1921.  She leaves to mourn her death, a husband, Clyde McLeod, one little daughter five years old, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Smedley and many other relatives and friends.  The News extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.

We wish to thank our neighbors and friends, also the physicians and nurse who assisted in caring for our loved one during her illness and death.  May you each and every one be spared from a like sorrow is our prayer.  Clyde McLeod and little daughter, Kathryn, A.N.
