Society Notes and General Local News
Gathered by Mrs. Lucile Graham Gough

The friends of Henry Litt are very sorry to learn of his illness.  He is suffering from typhoid fever and his condition demands the care of a trained nurse.

(The Coleman Democrat-Voice, Coleman, Texas, February 4, 1910.)

The Death of Henry Litt

Henry Litt who has been very low for some time with typhoid fever, died Sunday at 6 o'clock.  His death was very sudden as everyone thought he was getting better.  Henry was the son and only child of Mr. and Mrs. L. Litt and therefore his death came to them as a burden doubly hard to bear.  He was a young man held in the highest esteem by all and his death casts a heavy gloom over the entire town.  He was reared her in Coleman and his friends were only numbered by his acquaintances.  His remains were taken to New York City for burial.  We extend our sympathy to the bereaved parents and friends.

Eastern Star Resolutions

Mr. Henry Litt died February 20th, 1910, age 18.  Whereas an allwise providence has seen fit ot remove from our community Mr. Henry Litt.  Whereas by his death we have sustained a loss of a noble, true young man, loved by all who knew him.  Resolved, that to the mother and father and those bereaved we tender our heartfelt sympathies and commend them to Him who will lift the shadows from their sad hearts.  but while our hearts are heavy with sorrow we try to remember that

Sometime, some day, our eyes shall see,
The faces kept in memory;
Some day their hands will clasp our hands,
Just over in the morning land.

Resolved, that these resolutions be published and a copy sent to the family and a copy be spread on the minutes of the Chapter.

Mrs. Eleanor Chapin, Mrs. Ellen R. Dunn, Mrs. Ben Robey.
